Plans to open within weeks

One of the buildings that withstood the most significant damage in Branson's recent tornado was the Branson Convention Center. Initial reports said the center would be closed for up to 4 months while repair and restorations were being made. However recent reports indicate that the Convention Center will actually open within just weeks.

Planned events are already scheduled or have been rescheduled, with the first event taking place on April 7th. No word on what that event will be.

Damage and repair evaluations to the Convention Center's neighboring hotel are still in progress, including the replacement of nearly 4,000 panes of glass.
